The Central Illinois Bridge Association is Unit 208 within District 8 of the

American Contract Bridge League, ACBL.

The CIBA is a community non-profit organization with these officers:

The CIBA sponsors bridge tournaments:

· The Twin City Winter Sectional - usually the 3rd weekend in January at Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, USA. The tournament chair is Dennis Moll. Partnerships are arranged by Mike Tomlianovich.

· Peoria End O Winter Sectional - usually the the first weekend in March at Peoria, Illinois, USA. Information: Bernie Riley.

· The Champaign Regional - usually the week ending on Memorial Day - http://www.prairienet.org/ad_reg.htm

· The Twin City Summer Sectional - usually the 3rd weekend in July at Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, USA. The tournament chair is Dennis Moll. Partnerships are arranged by Mike Tomlianovich.

· Peoria End O Summer Sectional - usually the 2nd weekend in September at Peoria, Illinois, USA. Information: Bernie Riley.

· Springfield Fall Sectional - usually the 2nd weekend in October at Springfield, Illinois, USA. Information: Chuck Zalar.

The CIBA subsidizes for clubs special game sanction fees:

· District 8 Fall Sectional Tournaments at Clubs (StaCs)

· The World Wide Bridge Contest (held the 1^st weekend in June)

· The ACBL Instant Matchpoint Game (held in mid-September)

· North American Pairs (NAP) club level qualifiers (1 per sanction per season) – example: if your club holds 3 sanctioned games per week, your club would be entitled to 1 subsidized game for each of these 3 sanctioned games.

Check with any CIBA board member for procedures to request any of these subsidies.
